Meet Mary Majure

Hi, my name is Mary and I can’t wait to meet you!

Growing up in the metro Atlanta area, I was fortunate to experience a beautiful blend of settings—the charm of the suburbs, the energy of the city with its bold shapes and lines, and the peaceful beauty of the North Georgia mountains, where nature feels boundless. Each of these places tells a story, just like the people who call them home. Whether you're drawn to the warmth of the suburbs, the vibrancy of the city, or the tranquility of the mountains, I would love to capture your unique story in the setting that speaks to you most.

My journey into photography has been a natural extension of my passion for art and design, which I pursued during my studies at the University of Georgia, where I graduated in December 2022. After college, I spent a few years working in a local flower shop, specializing in wedding florals. It was there that I fell in love with the wedding industry—meeting couples, helping them bring their vision to life, and, most of all, seeing the final images that beautifully captured their special day. As a self-proclaimed flower snob, I am committed to ensuring that the beauty and intricate details of the floral arrangements are always highlighted in my photography, creating lasting memories that couples can cherish for years to come.

During my year of mentorship with Yasmine Adams, Lead Photographer at Y Studio Photography, I gained experience as a second shooter at venues all over northern Georgia. Yasmine is renowned for her exceptional talent and personable approach. I’ve learned efficiency, attentivity, quality, effective communication, and more than anything, how important it is to make sure your clients are comfortable and feel listened to. This mentorship has greatly enriched my understanding of the photography industry and my commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience.

I don’t just focus on the big moments; I capture the in-between ones, too—the fleeting glances, the intricate details, and the emotions that make your wedding uniquely yours. You’ve poured your heart into every detail of your day, and I want to ensure those details are preserved for you to cherish forever.

When I create my galleries, I carry with me the lessons I learned as a little girl. My grandmother and mother were avid scrapbookers, carefully preserving every special moment. Their scrapbooks held more than just pictures; they captured the essence of each moment, the quiet in-betweens, the details that might have otherwise faded with time. Because of their dedication, I can look back on every detail of my parents' love story—the note in my dad’s handwriting from the day he proposed to my mom, the carefully chosen fabric for each bridesmaid’s custom dress, and the photos that captured both her radiant excitement and the quiet anticipation of the journey ahead. It’s this kind of storytelling that inspires me. Every wedding holds a collection of moments waiting to be treasured, and I strive to capture them all—the grand and the subtle, the laughter and the quiet, the love that lingers long after the day is done.
